Life Instructions

The other day, in all the randomness and jumble of the internet, I came across this picture. I like it. I want to get it blown up and laminated or framed and hang it in my classroom. It says so much more than it says... don't you think?

I LOVE IT! Also, I just now realized that you had asked me what a body biography is- the explanation that I got was that students were allowed to trace (or draw) a human figure on a huge sheet of paper, and then fill it with things that embody the character. The example that I saw done involved characters from Hamlet- and let me tell you, we had some pretty hilarious interpretations of dear Hamlet. It was great because some students really plugged into the activity and illustrated internal parts of the character as well as external influences on the character. It was done in a senior english class, and it was a really nice change from the usual hum drum character analysis that accompanies Hamlet.
